The insurance industry keeps changing. The world keeps changing. Continued success requires innovative ideas, smart use of technology, and collaborative relationships. In that vein, we’ve named Lonnie Burks, CPCU, CIA, ARM, as our Executive Director of Strategic Network Development to identify and build new opportunities with our core carriers as we continue expansion across the nation.

Keystone, one of the top agency partnerships in the United States, is built on a community of some of the best independent insurance agencies. Lonnie will help us identify market opportunities and engage our core carriers to design strategies that optimize results.

As Executive Director of Strategic Network Development, Lonnie will identify and build new opportunities with our core carriers.

Lonnie’s background on the carrier side brings a valuable asset:

Lonnie is not new to carrier relationships, most recently serving as the vice president of business insurance with Liberty Mutual (Liberty). In this role, he led the development of commercial and personal lines strategies with Liberty’s largest networks and ensured effective utilization. He helped establish best practices and negotiated special programs and incentives. Lonnie possesses a wealth of knowledge of carrier networks and how to build effective marketing strategies with insurance agencies. This knowledge is critical to uncover organic growth potential and generate new sales approaches.

“Lonnie brings Keystone and our partners a unique skill set and experience in working with other large agencies and networks in maximizing core relationships and organic growth initiatives,” noted Brian Brusoski, executive vice president. “We’re excited to tap into his knowledge of the United States marketplace as we look to expand our footprint.”

“The independent agent distribution channel continues to evolve, and partnership networks play a strategic role in advancing carrier success and enhancing customer experience,” Lonnie said.  “Keystone delivers unique, enticing services to our partners and carriers, and I am thrilled to bring my background and experience to the team.”
